Philip Dreshfield

Chef & Instructor

Brightwater Chef and Instructor Philip Dreshfield is originally from Chicago and credits French cuisine as being the most influential on his baking techniques and instruction. Visiting France changed his perceptual lens on breads and food culture. 

Philip joined Brightwater in 2016, and has enjoyed the opportunity to teach students how food systems have played a role in the techniques taught in his bread and baking courses. He also enjoys working at Brightwater because of its unique location in the very core of a community food hub — 8th Street Market in Bentonville.  

"Brightwater is an incubator of culinary innovation from which future industry leaders will emerge," says Phillip.  

During his free time, Philip enjoys baking and bowling.
