Brightwater's bakeshop is home to all the college's pastry and baking classes. This room is usually kept at a cooler temperature due to the heat sensitivity of the ingredients when making chocolate and pastry, and doing sugar work.

This kitchen is furnished with the same equipment that would be found in most commercial bakeries:

  • Stone-lined deck ovens
  • Convection ovens
  • Proofing cabinets
  • Oversized mixers
  • Dough sheeter
  • Dough portioner
  • Ice cream maker
  • Chocolate temperer
  • Flour mill

Brightwater baking students have been known to take their pastries over to the NWACC campus to open pop-up bakeshops.
