Cindy Lasater

Executive Administrative Assistant

Brightwater Executive Administrative Assistant Cindy Lasater is originally from Shreveport, La., and in high school developed a respect and understanding for food and food systems by working at Sunshine Fruit Markets in Springfield, Mo., where she helped purchase goods from local growers. 

Cynthia taught special education in Waldo, Stephens and Camden, Ark., as well as Missouri and Oklahoma. She was also a certified meeting planner for the Federation of American Hospitals, a trade association out of Washington, D.C., planning conferences, trade shows and meetings across the United States.  

After retiring in Northwest Arkansas, Cynthia decided that joining Brightwater in 2018 would allow her the opportunity to work for a business where she could meet new people and still be involved in education. As an administrative assistant at Brightwater, she enjoys interacting with students, instructors, chefs and community members.

In her free time, Cynthia enjoys reading, camping, sewing, traveling and spending time with her children.
